Lately, understanding Chileans has become considerably more complex than understanding our economy. We went from Brexit panic to Copa América euphoria. We wake up one day and we are in a major crisis—the United Kingdom's exit from the European Community, for example, is our definitive end. And the next day, we feel like the English of the continent. All of this is mixed with the political contingency, in which the same all-or-nothing duality exists: for the opposition, low growth has a single culprit, the Government and its terrible reforms.
