    Abstract

    Since the 1998 Asian crisis, the Chilean Government has systematically included among its priorities the development of a pro-growth agenda, aimed at creating the conditions for the country to place itself among developed nations. Under different names, successive administrations have promoted agendas with packages of measures focused on: export promotion; the lifting of restrictions on credit and on the start-up of productive activities; and the development of physical infrastructure, mainly public works.
