      Abstract

      In a previous column we asked what kind of good or value added is received by students from different types of schools (municipal, government-subsidized private, and fee-paying private) who enter university. There we noted that graduates of fee-paying private schools mostly studied at universities with a better faculty-to-student ratio, with higher academic degrees and greater dedication to research, compared with the universities entered by graduates of the remaining types of schools.
